SHOW · SOUND OF PROG PLUSParallel World
With André Fedorow
Parallel World opens the door to a musical parallel universe where familiar songs suddenly take on an entirely different life. André Fedorow presents cover versions, reinterpretations and unusual arrangements from Progressive Rock, Rock and far beyond.
The idea isn’t simply to reproduce the original as faithfully as possible. Things become interesting when musicians take a familiar song apart, rebuild it and give it an identity entirely of their own. Sometimes only the melody remains familiar; sometimes the entire musical universe has changed.
From surprisingly faithful renditions to “Hang on… that’s supposed to be the same song?”, pretty much anything is allowed. Parallel World – familiar music from another reality. Don’t worry: the return journey to our universe is usually scheduled for the end of the show. Usually.
