SHOW · SOUND OF PROG PLUSThe Atomic Hearing Aid
With Dieter Hoffmann
On The Atomic Hearing Aid, Dieter Hoffmann takes command – musician, songwriter, producer and the creative force behind starfish64. Progressive Rock is therefore explored not only from a listener’s perspective, but also through the ears of someone who has spent many years writing, recording and producing music himself.
The show travels through Progressive Rock, Art Rock, new releases, lesser-known artists and personal discoveries, with plenty of room for music that prefers to wander somewhat off the usual paths. Dieter’s experience as a musician and long-time Prog connoisseur adds another perspective to the journey: curious, knowledgeable and reassuringly unafraid of extended running times.
The Atomic Hearing Aid is a musical expedition for anyone who occasionally likes to turn their hearing aid up to atomic levels. Possible side effects include spontaneous album purchases, an unexplained interest in unusual time signatures and the sudden realisation that seven minutes may, in fact, only be the intro. The Atomic Hearing Aid – turn it up. Carefully. ☢️
