Music querbeetRock Café is the place at Sound of Prog where genre boxes are politely left closed. Usually, André Fedorow is behind the musical counter, serving up a mixture of Progressive Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative, Art Rock and pretty much anything else that goes remarkably well with a couple of coffees – with the occasional excursion into Pop territory very much permitted.

And if André happens to be unavailable, the café remains open: Holger Stötzel and Erich Robbers occasionally step in as guest hosts, naturally bringing their own musical tastes with them. Same establishment, different staff – and so far, nobody has demanded to speak to the manager about the playlist.

At the Rock Café, great classics meet forgotten gems, new discoveries meet old favourites, and 20-minute Prog epics occasionally meet songs that actually finish before your coffee gets cold. There is really only one selection criterion: the music has to be good. A surprisingly revolutionary concept for a radio show.
