EPISODE · SOUND OF PROG PLUSTowel Day 2026 mit André Fedorow & Pete Jones
Sound of Prog Exclusives25 May 2026With André Fedorow, Pete Jones
On Towel Day 2026, André Fedorow and Pete Jones find themselves facing a minor interstellar inconvenience: due to an unfortunate shift in reality, a Vogon construction fleet suddenly appears above Earth. Our planet is apparently blocking the route of a hyperspace bypass and is therefore scheduled for demolition. The relevant paperwork has, presumably, been filed correctly.
Two radio presenters consequently find themselves caught in the middle of a galactic administrative catastrophe and rather reluctantly become humanity’s last hope. Armed with Progressive Rock, a substantial amount of Douglas Adams-inspired absurdity and the intriguing possibility that a Mellotron solo might emotionally destabilise several interstellar officials, André and Pete attempt to prevent the worst.
Featuring music from IZZ, Sound of Contact, Lonely Robot, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Yes, Big Big Train, Camel, Vangelis and more – plus some decidedly unusual guests, including Marvin the Paranoid Android and the Vogon responsible for the whole administrative disaster, Senior Administrative Officer Gralmek Vonn.
Can Progressive Rock save the Earth?
Keep your towel handy. Don’t Panic. And under no circumstances voluntarily attend a Vogon poetry recital. 😄
